Acne Soap As An Acne Home Treatment

Acne Soap and Other Over the Counter Washes to Combat Acne
Nobody is exempt from acne, of whatever age and degree. At some point in one's life, particularly during the adolescent phase, acne sprouts and threatens to impair a person's self-image and social life. If not treated at the onset, this skin condition could end up becoming a problem that leaves scars for life.
Luckily, we have doctors specializing in the care of an individual's skin and a lot of time and effort has been placed into securing just the right preventive or curative tool to this common skin disorder -- so it does not turn up in the first place. Acne soap is one of the more popular remedies against this condition and has proven itself effective.
According To Skin Types
Acne primarily is caused by an imbalance in hormones, which is why it occurs mostly during the puberty stage. Some dermatologists recommend medications that would help alter the release of hormones in an individual's body to stop the occurrence of acne altogether. However, some people do not relish in the idea of ingesting medications to address skin problems. Some prefer the topical acne home treatment, like acne soap and ointments, to help manage the situation.
How much acne sprouts and how to treat them depends largely on a person's skin type. If one has oily skin, for instance, soaps high in sulfur content are best recommended to both strip out the excess oils and get rid of pimples and other skin problems. For those with dry skin, more oil-based topical treatments are prescribed to help build a balance of moisture on the face.
Using Sulfur Soap
Sulfur soap is said to be the best over the counter acne treatment available, and has been used by many people worldwide because of sulfur's effect on problem, particularly oily, skin areas.
Skin experts say that because of the high sulfur content in this type of face wash, it's best to use it not more than three times a day, and ideally just twice per day -- in the morning, and before going to bed. People who use this type of acne soap regularly swear by its positive effects, not only in helping the skin feel lighter and more breathable after washing, but also in drying out acne after just a few washes.
Other Types of Acne Soap
There are many types of soap, each promising to help alleviate the problem with acne. Soaps with tea tree oil or dark ocean water seaweed are some of the most popular, and so are soaps with placenta content. Lye soap is also said to be effective, along with face washes that have high zinc content. Thus, with the many types of acne and pimple soaps available, it still always best to first consult your skin doctor on the most recommendable wash for your skin type before trying anything out.
Almost all of the face washes designed to combat acne and other skin problems are available over the counter; it is, thus, your responsibility to check first which is most fit for you. You don't want to aggravate your acne problem, do you?
